Cheney 'ordered CIA to hide plan'

advertisement

Sources have told a number of US media outlets Mr Cheney personally instructed the CIA to withhold information about an embryonic intelligence-gathering effort, aimed at yielding intelligence that would be used to conduct covert operations abroad.

This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

The Bush Administration was determined to protect our freedoms, even if they had to take away every one of them to do it.

Now that's true "Patriotism" for you.

This is not the first time the Bush Administration has been accused of withholding vital CIA information from the American public. According the Vincent Bugliosi, author of the book "The Procecution of George W. Bush for Murder". On December 7, 2002, Bush made a nationally televised speech in Cincinnati Ohio in which he stated that Saddam Hussein possessed WMD that he could use to attack the US, or he might sell to others that may want to attack us, and that this could happen "on any given day"

However, on Dec. 1, 2002, Bush had received a memo from the CIA, which reported the findings of 16 CIA agencies, that concluded there was no evidence of WMD in Iraq, and the CIA did not consider Saddam Hussein to be an eminent threat to the United States.

This link will take you to a vidio in which Bugliosi outlines his book, it is extremely compelling and leaves no question that Bush took the American people to war on outright lies regarding Saddam Hussein and WMD.

I have read The book, and Bugliosis' information is pretty well documented, which left me feeling a little guilty that this country could put someone like George W. in the White House ........ twice!

    Not surprising in the least.

Dick Cheney is a thief, a liar and a traitor to this country - he needs, and others in his cohort, to be brought to account.

    Seconded!

If you watch the Sundance documentary "No End in Sight" re; the American occupation of Iraqi, you will see exactly how much of an understatement that is.

Has anybody given consideration that at the time this happened, there were many members of congress that were siding with our enemies? Seriously, wouldn't informing the Democrats in congress about what we were doing be the same thing and calling Osama Bin Laden and telling him? The most effective weapons the terrorist have had over the past 7 years have been the Democrats in our own government, seeking political gain.

Are you accusing members of the United States Congress of being traitors?!

Could you please elaborate on that comment a little, and tell us exactly how and which Democrats made political gains by helping terrorist?

Come Common Sense, live up to your name.

Come on Jerry, pull your head out of the sand for a minute. If you were looking at written text, with no name signed to it, you couldn't have told the difference between what Democrats were saying and what the terrorist were saying for years and years. Did Democrats not win the House and Senate by promising to bring the troops home? Wasn't it Nancy and Harry on the steps of the Capitol every day using the terrorist's talking points to make that victory happen? You seriously can't see that everything they said and did was for political gain? Are the troops home?

Am I accusing members of Congress of being traitors? Certainly! I've said all along that some of them should have been arrested and charged with treason.

Exactly to what "talking points" are you referring?

You seriously can't see that everything they said and did was for political gain?

Of course it was for political gain. Everything any politician says for "political gain". Do you expect them to say things that will result in "political loss"? How else are politicians supposed to win elections and advance their policies?

    Are the troops home?

Did you really expect that we could untangle the troops from the quagmire we've created overnight? Or are you just saying that to be argumentative?

Please Mike, watch the Sundance documentary "No End in Sight"

It may not alter your viewpoint, but then again, it might. The piece contains information and events I found to be absolutely amazing.
