Former U.S. Air Force officers and a former enlisted man are about to break many years of silence about an alarming series of UFO encounters at nuclear weapons sites -- incidents officially kept secret for decades.

When the group appears at a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Monday, it will offer testimony about events so chilling, it will seem like a day at a science fiction movie festival.

"So, why, after so many years of keeping quiet, are former military personnel coming forward to talk about their experiences, as Salas and his Air Force colleagues are doing on Monday? He says the people who will talk in Washington are "just the tip of the iceberg."

"I believe in the extraterrestrial hypothesis, and I think, in this instance, these objects were not constructed on planet Earth."

Jerry. FYI They all have been telling these stories for about ten plus years. Absolutely nothing new. They are not coming out of the woodwork. Download for free "Out of the Blue" documentary by Jamie Foxx. Awesome movie and you will see the same people and more complete version of claimed events.

My theory has always been tha we figured out time travel and that the UFOS we claim to see are really people from the future coming back in time trying to prevent some catastrophe. Oh look at the time, I gotta take my meds.

If any of us spent a lot of time around nuclear weapons sites we would probably see UFO's and USO's too. Besides, Phoenix has its own problems identifying military flares.

Don't you find it a little strange that the Aliens have been here for so long and never have been invited to the the White House by Obama, well, Hillary shows up some times. The aliens have been here a long time, probably because they can't get back. Costs have gone up so much lately that the aliens probably can't afford the fuel prices.

Who can truly say there is intelligent life on this planet, look who you vote for. Actually I'm glad the UFO's haven't made contact. First a green card, then Medicaid, then a college education, a house and moving in next door, and then dating our daughters. Nope, I'm glad they are curious, but shy for now.

Are we really supposed to buy into the idea that little green men traveled 938 broxillion light years to get here, and then (under orders from home) ducked around in the shadows to perform all sorts of unnoticed mayhem?! The ones who believe this, shouldn't be smoking or shooting the stuff they must be doing.

I know, they have been telling them for a lot longer than 10 years. Every once in a while a new twist on the story pops up, and their fun to seed.

What comes out of the woodwork is the UFO crowd with their version of what happened.

Yes-- the "Little Green Men" have been infiltrating our nuclear programme for years!

But, if you think about it-- that might not necessarily be such a bad thing. After all, these little green "illegal aliens" prevented a nuclear war between the US and the Soviet union for decades during the "Cold War"!

Obviously, they "come in peace" (to coin a phrase! :-)

Yes, of course I could.

In fact, if you search enough, you can find a site on the Internet that "proves" anything (might not be too reputable site-- but who cares? Some people will believe anything if its on the Internet!)

I have been told by an unreliable source that they area more of a Teal in skintone.

Well, I don't know if its true or not-- but I've been told by a friend who lives just across the border in Arizona that female illegal aliens insist on their handbag colour matching that of their shoes-- then they change their skin colour to match both!

I look at it this way. How do we know what's out there? All we have to go by, is how and what we need to live here. Doesn't mean that life can't exist elsewhere, or at least our scientists think there can't be.

They said that no life could live on Mars, didn't the find traces of water there?

If confirmed, the existence of such ponds would significantly boost the odds that living organisms could survive on or near the surface of Mars, says physicist Ron Levin, the report's lead author, who works in advanced image processing at the aerospace company Lockheed Martin in Arizona.

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn12026-mars-rover-finds-puddles-on-the-planets-surface.html

I think, to believe as vast as space is, that we are the only planet with life on it, is kind of egotistical. It may not be life as we know it, but life none the less. Only time, and exploration will tell.

The existence of Unidentified Flying Objects is a fact. From government agencies to private citizens, there has been plenty of investigation that affirms that. The question is not whether they exist but rather whether or not they extraterrestrial in origin.

I'll agree with that but I like to see compelling evidence, I have seen at least two completely unexplained events. One where a strobe light moved so fast across the sky that we only saw it flash three times before it was gone, three seconds. No sonic boom. That is a UFO but what was it?

That is a UFO but what was it?

We often hear people say things like

UFOs are real-- they do exist.

And its true-- there are flying objects that are "unidentified"-- we don't know for sure what they are ("Unidentified Flying Object"). But just because there are things spotted that are unidentified doesn't necessarily prove they are alien spacecraft.

I'm sorry but that is not conclusive evidence, Anatoly. I am more convinced by my own observations, UFO's exist but we don't know what they are. I would like to point out that it is totally ignorant and so human to think that a species from a distant planet orbiting a distant star, couldn't figure out how to breach the rules of Relativity. If they come from a world light years away they are far beyond humans, capiche. I don't know if aliens have visited earth but if you are sure they haven't, you are on one side or the other of the God debate and you are not ready for aliens.

Why do we mostly see videos of so-called 'UFOs' at night?

Have you ever tried to focus on a fast-moving light ( a satellite, or plane) with binoculars? or even a planet? they bob up and down. and then somebody claims they are UFOs and here is irrefutable evidence.

probably bob up and down in cellphone cameras, in digital camcorders too.

and how much was that person drinking while filming?

I used to believe that extraterrestrials were monitoring us, but there's actually less photographic evidence now than there was a few decades ago, and almost everybody has a camera with them now. The photo in the article is from the 50s or 60s.

The military, especially the air force, a haven for christian warriors and sc-fi freaks. These guys have way to much time and way to little intelligence to be in control of all that weaponry.

The air force academy is running wild with christian zealots. I believe this to be of more concern than the frightwings nuts. If these two ever develop a handshake, we're in real trouble. A military takeover by Gen Bolton would be imminent.

I think there is probably other life out there. The problem I have is in believing they have made the trip here. It is quite a problem, too. The first thing to overcome is how would they know where to look in the vastness of space. And why would you expend the enormous time required to make the trip?

Basically, if you had the intelligence to make the trip, you would be smart enough to know that it is a bad idea.

If there is a billion to one chance of there being life on any given planet in the universe, there would be more than a trillion planets out there teaming with life. However, due to the vastness of space, I don't believe that any visitors have made the trek to earth.

I did a little research about these agents, there is not much available as the FBI has sealed their files.

      However, I was able to find this;

On Scully, her favorite book was Moby-Dick and she came to nickname her father "Ahab" from the book, and in return, he called her "Starbuck." Due to this she named her dog Queequeg.

      As for Mulder I found this;

"From early in his youth, Fox Mulder wanted a peg leg. He gave the idea a lot of thought and eventually came to the belief that, if he had a peg leg or hooks for hands, other people might not expect him to achieve anything more than to simply keep on living, braving facing life with his disability. Fox never grew out of his boyhood desire for a peg leg and, in 1996, he still suspected it would have its advantages."

The trip is so impossibly long that when they got here the last generation of aliens couldn't remember why they came. All the post-its fell of the refrigerators. For the last two millennia they have been trying to solve the problem of why anyone would want to come here.

Every time they have one of these stories we have to suffer through the reporter or the article writer invoking the phrase "little green men" or they play a version of the X-Files music with little crappy graphic ufos flying around. I and many others do not find it amusing.

How many billions of people on this planet believe in an invisible sky daddy which they have never actually seen? How many of these people have video or photo evidence of their deity? None...thats how many.

Now consider the millions of people throughout recorded history who have seen ufos or in some cases their occupants. Consider the hundreds of thousands of reports, and the number of video and photos that have been taken. Sure there isn't any physical evidence from these ufos that we know about, but how many native indians in south america have a piece of a 747?

Everyone always likes to say "well why don't they land on the white house lawn?"...well for one thing they would probably get shot down...and for another why is the assumption made that they even care about our hierarchical political system? The government covers this up because they simply can't do anything about it....what are they supposed to tell everyone? That there is an extraterrestrial force that is quietly taking normal every day people for experiments as though we were lab rats...but be rest assured the government is taking every step possible to steal their technology.

No. It just isn't going to happen...the "giggle factor" is the only reason the government has been able to keep mass panic from ensuing....to keep yokels with guns from shooting everything in the sky. If these ETs had wanted to invade or conquer us they could have done it a long time ago while we were still walking around with spears no doubt. Most likely we are just part of a long term study that they no doubt carry out on many other worlds on their inhabitants.

This phrase best sums it up..."Keep Calm and Carry On".

Trolls live under bridges and they are only men, who are scary, I know one in Chicago. The ones that may or may not come from space, live in your towers, man you aren't very good at figuring it out. You hate Obama, yet you haven't figured out why the rich are rich. I'll give you a dose of double entendre every time you give me a dose of dumb.

I don't believe in trolls, little green men, and ufo's. I'm not a religious freak either. But, I am religious. BUT. When it comes to one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing; the government is perfectly capable of creating some sort of thing that would be tested to see if it could cause a nuclear shut down and not bother to tell the nuclear people they were doing it. Security clearance and all that stuff.

I don't either, but you seemed to be concerned enough to comment, so you believe in something beyond your ability to explain, UFO's are real we just don't know what they are. Remember my posit on real aliens, there is nothing on Earth with any value to an alien, capeable of traveling across the long distance of space; other than our DNA. DNA, contains the whole story of Earth, and nothing that man has created is equal. Humans need to quit thinking that they have done something in the cosmic realm, rockets aren't space travel, they are a local phenomenon. Man is a baby, sucking on a cosmic teat.

Well, don't know if I'm all that concerned. This article was a fun off the beaten path of the doom and gloom of the nation right now. I had fun reading the comments :)

Maybe they just need to monitor us, in case we try to blow up the world, we would send pieces of our planet everywhere and cause havoc with the universe!. Bad humans, do not blow up your planet and litter!
