Catherine Kieu Becker of Garden Grove reportedly prepared dinner for her husband and put a poisonous substance or drug in his food to make him drowsy, reports KTLA. While the man was sleeping, Becker allegedly tied him to the bed. When he awakened, Becker cut his penis off with a knife and threw it into the garbage disposal, turning it on as she did so.

Becker has been charged with "aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse," according to the Associated Press. The most serious of these charges is "aggravated mayhem," which carries a life sentence with possibility of parole

Newsvines Domestic Violence group should start rating its seeds, this would be a 5 star rating.

(If I were to ever to meet this woman, I don't think I would like her very much.)

I heard Lorena Bobbit was charged with one count of littering. At least this woman didn't make that same mistake.

I heard Lorena Bobbit was charged with one count of littering.

She was charge with Aggravated Assault.

"After seven hours of deliberation, the jury found Lorena not guilty due to insanity causing an irresistible impulse to sexually wound her husband. As a result, she could not be held liable for her actions.[5] Under state law, the judge ordered Lorena to undergo a 45-day evaluation period at Central State Hospital, located in Petersburg, Virginia, after which she would be released."

Jerry- The littering charge was a SNL news with Chevy Chase joke. I looked high and low trying to get the clip for it but sadly I failed. ):

You mustn't have much of an imagination. "A woman scorned....."

When I was young and crazy there were many times I feared for the safety of my penis. 8^)}

Child molester? Wife beater? Two good reasons.

Ave Luciferi!

Wait, wait, wait.

So, you're against wife beatings, child molestations but you're alright and dandy with castrations? That doesn't even make any sense. You can't be 'okie dokie' with some and not 'okie dokie' with others. You're either all in, or not at all. Or else the sense of it all is lost completely on why you're against it to begin with. /facepalm

There is no 'good' reason to castrate someone; Just as there's no good reason to molest or beat someone either. Two wrongs will never make a right, I'm afraid.

I could see that if a man had touched one of my children. More than likely, I would call the police as opposed to taking the law into my own hands. But, I do know what it's like to live with an abuser. See this article:

When it comes to child molestation, it makes a lot of sense! See Newsvines' Child Abuse & Abductions group.

    Ave Luciferi!

Holly; My mother, brother and I were beaten for more then half our lives. I never not ONCE wished a castration on the man who did it.

I was raped and molested when I was fourteen years old, on until I was little under seventeen; Do I wish a castration on the man who did that to me? No. Why?

Because I was taught to be better then that.

Castration should automatically be a part of any and all sentences for Child Molestation. Automatic and Mandatory. Every State. No exceptions.

    Now that sounds like Justice.

I agree with you SFV, but I am against Mandatory sentences of any kind, as it takes descretion away from Judges to evaluate each situation on a case by case basis.

In most cases I would agree with you.

This is one area where I do not. Molest a kid and WHACK! It's gone. That's just my opinion though.
