Father Arrested for kidnapping and Rape of 8 Yr old Daughter

This is just disgusting, his 8 year- old daughter no less !!

He is full of BS.. doing a fake suicide attempt because he knows he was busted. Jail the @sshole,. He raped his 8 yr old daughter. He has no excuses, even if he says he was raped as a child.. no excuse. He should have been even more protective of her.

cut it OFF!! this is his daughter, for crying out loud!

I just want to put something in here so please don't jump down my throat as those of you who know me know I'm appalled at any child abuse, especially sexual abuse.

Having worked as a psych nurse, and a therapist working specially with children and adults who were victims of childhood sexual abuse, I have run into patients actually suffering from multipersonality disorder. It's rare but it does happen. This occurs specifically in children where there's been particularly horrific patterns of abuse. One way of dealing with the trauma is for the victim to dissociate, and if it occurs often enough in these dissociative states they can develop different and distinct personalities.

Working with these patients, you may have a 5 year old child, a young adolescent, a teen, a female and a male, and there's always one personality who carries the rage. When another personality "comes out" the main person experiences black outs, or lost periods of time. I'm not in anyway suggesting that this has occurred, but it is a possibility., or it may just be his way of getting out of it.

The part about the iron being wrapped in a towel being placed by the child's bed, and his coming home in time to unplug it, is the thing that brings up these suspicions in my mind. It's very odd, and is the type of behavior that one personality will do during a black out of the main personality, and when the main personality comes out they try to correct what has occurred by the alter.

Although his sounds like an irrational explanation, there are people who actually have this disorder.

well, the father may not have remembered all of the details, but his daughter sure did! Boo Hoo, the dad was abused as a child, that does not give him an automatic, get out of jail card and go to a pshch hosp card.

This guy knew exactly what he was doing, just the fact, that he treid to kill her after the deed, alone shows knowledge as he tried to cover up what he did by killing the evidence.

All in all, he will have such a happy time when he goes to prison, as odd as it seems, they too have their own code of ethics, and those who abuse children are at the bottome of the food chain.
