Alice Elizabeth Davis, a 55-year-old English teacher at Parkside High School in Salisbury, was last seen at about 6:30 p.m. on Labor Day. According to her husband, she left their Allen home to go shopping at a Walmart in nearby Fruitland, Md.

When Davis failed to return home by 8 p.m. her husband contacted police and reported her missing. During a search of the shopping center property, investigators spotted Davis' blue Honda hatchbackparked across the street in a Big Lots parking lot.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, the lead agency investigating the case, officers found no signs of a struggle in or around the vehicle. Investigators also reviewed video surveillance cameras at Walmart and Big Lots and found no evidence that Davis was at either store Monday. Read more;

"....video surveillance cameras at Walmart and Big Lots and found no evidence that Davis was at either store Monday"

(?!)

Davis is described as a white female, 5' 9" tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a yellow shirt with images of cats on the front, blue shorts and sandals.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office at 410-548-4891.

This is not good. It sounds like the husband or someone else placed the vehicle there as part of a cover up. Do you think most average people would report someone missing after only 3 hours? I know we really haven't heard any details. Thank you Jerry for getting her description and a contact number out!! This way too common in our twisted world.

I'm sure they're giving hubby a real hard look on this one. That is a good point you make about him reporting to the cops after only 3 hours. However, I would imagine she had a fairly tight circle of friends and family where she might have gone, so they would have reason to believe fairly early that something was not right.

But, I still will not be surprised if we here of the husband being charged

mstanley, thank you for the update. This doesn't bode well for Alice. :( I'm afraid this stuff will never stop happening. Actually, I know it won't. Very sad.

andrew, it's a very tragic circumstance. It makes me sick when I hear of events like this. I hope the family is the hands of God now. :(

I hope she is safe and alive.

Me too. She reminds me of one of my grade school teachers.

As for the HuffPost layout. Perhaps the page didn't download properly for you sushi, it looked OK when I just checked, maybe you should try it again.
