The body was discovered late Sunday afternoon behind the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Church in rural Somerset County. Members of the congregation had been back in the woods and unexpectedly found the body, police said.

On September 7, the search for Alice Davis took an unexpected turn when authorities found her husband dead of an apparent suicide inside their home.

"He died from what appears to be self-inflicted razor wounds to his left arm -- he severed his artery,"Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis told The Huffington Post last week.

According to a story in WBOC16.com;

"During a Thursday morning press conference detailing the case, Lewis said that detectives with the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation found many holes in Jess Davis' story. During their investigation, detectives determined that Alice Davis' 2010 Honda Fit hatchback appeared to have been driven to the Big Lots shopping center in Fruitland by Jess Davis, who abandoned it there. Investigators also located Alice Davis' purse, wallet and mobile phone."

Jerry, I had a bad feeling about this when I responded to your first post. It's a damn shame that a woman of her character is wrapped up with an @!$%# like this. It's bad enough he took the chicken @!$%# way out. I'm just thoroughly disgusted with these whack jobs that continue to commit murder/suicide. If you want to die, by all means, just "check out". My problem with this is that she was obviously a great teacher and well liked. Now, how many young minds will suffer without her tutelage? Disgusting. Thank you for the update sir!!

DC,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you on this, had business that took me out of town, plus a few seeds that hit upwards of 300 - 400 comments .... I'm still trying to catch up.

I guess we both had bad feeling about the outcome on this one, his story was just not making sense.

And, I agree that these cowards that decide to off themselves after killing people creates a feeling of frustration. Keep in mind however, they were probably going to commit the murder anyway, so killing themselves makes it easier for the cops and the DA, plus saves the taxpayers lots of money, we don't have.

Hey Jerry. No problem. It's almost like these nut jobs are acting out from a "standard script". It's very sad for sure and I do agree with you that after the fact, it is easier for the system in the long run. Keep up the fight sir!! Thanks for all the seeds Jerry!! :)

      At least she's been found. I'd rather murderers go ahead and commit suicide than we end up supporting them in prison for life, but of course it would be better all around if they went straight to the suicide and didn't commit the murder at all. I guess I just don't get these people murdering people they're suppose to love.

      What a terrible story these kind of stories get me/ thinking about whether I'll ever figure out the Human condition. Maybe some day there will be a miracle/aren't we in the future promised a 1000 years of Peace? Well we could use it.

      I'm coming to this story because I'm so tired of being afraid/of all the gruesome stories causing me to go hide. Because then I feel as if I can't help to get the story/out to the public so there can be change in this crap someday. What a place to dump your wife body at the church/and what a coincidence that the church had a trip/to the woods scheduled that day. Some time I think it is very strange/how these stories get solved. It's almost like a destiny kind of thing/against the creeps that perpetrate crimes like this. One possitive thing about this crime is that the people/ won't have to spend the money to give him/a fair trial nor have to pay to incarcerate him.
