A 6-year-old girl came home from school and discovered her parents and live-in baby sitter dead in what police said was a double murder-suicide in the Twin Cities suburb of Oakdale.
Teenage neighbor Brady Hartman told the Star Tribune that the child came home from school Thursday and found the three dead. He said the girl ran out of her house sobbing and screaming, "Mommy, daddy dead! Mommy, daddy dead!"
Hartman's mother consoled the girl and called 911.
That's so sad...poor girl all the important immediate people in her life just gone in an instant...

The article didn't say much, and I am sure the police are doing what they can to investigate this...but either way it is a tragic thing for the little girl to see and now she and her siblings have no parents...just sad...
I am sure now that someone somewhere will have to step in and either keep the fathers business going, or close it..same with the 'house'...these are things that need to be looked into and decided for the betterment of the children...A good manager can step in and keep the business open and this will help to support the kids...I hope a judge insists that a careful eye is kept on this...

don't speculate, thats very unfair and too be honest, kinda of makes me mad that you would assume so much and put it on these women, to be honest women spend alot of time caring for the children in these bigger families, but that shouldn't suggest it leads to affairs.
There is no story that even supports that, and i live here and NOBODY has even suggested such a thing.

Calm down cj, (and don't "ugh" me). This is a semi-social newsblog, there is nothing wrong with a little speculation to help generate a dialog.
I know that no one has made such a suggestion, that doesn't mean the thought hasn't crossed anyones mind. The thought occured to me, so I thew it out as a question. If you think I'm off base, then just say so.
Your an ex-cop, do you have any thoughts as to why this guy shot those two women, and then committed suicide? Are we even sure that he shot the women before he committed suicide, or is that too much speculating?

your speculation wouldn't matter if this would not effected so many people in this community, the church they went to is well known for there out reach and volunteer events in their community and sent over a large group to help with the tornado recovery in the black community that occurred here this summer.
My best guess will be that it will come back to the business and something illegal with that. As far what the facts will provide, when i find out ill up date you.
So the little girl's daddy murdered her mommy and baby sitter, then shot himself? Hmmmm. That's going to be a tough thing for that little girl to forget.
