The parents of a missing 10-month-old Missouri girl are no longer cooperating with investigators, police said late Thursday – an assertion the family quickly and firmly denied.

At an evening news conference, Kansas City police spokesman Steve Young said Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley stopped cooperating with authorities Thursday. The couple had been working with police since the disappearance of their daughter, Lisa, who the parents say was snatched from her crib sometime late Monday or early Tuesday.

"Tonight, they decided to stop talking to detectives, and I don't have to illustrate how that affects the investigation. That speaks for itself," Young said.

The cops think the parents are acting strange? I can't find out why the cops cancelled the Amber Alert.

The parents notified the police when the father came home from a night job at 4:00 am Monday morning and found the baby missing. An Amber Alert was issued shortly later, however by Monday evening the Alert was cancelled. Code Amber apparently was never notified, so the Amber Alert feed many Newvine Child Abuse & Abductions members have on their desktops, never lit up.

This is the story we posted yesterday when I picked it up on Aol News: Amber Alert for Infant Last Seen in Crib - Kansas City, MO

Anyone with information was urged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.

They probably accused the parents who decided to talk to a lawyer before talking with police again.

I agree Fletch, the cops are saying the mother failed a Lie Dector test, and according reports, have used that reason to openly accused her of "doing it". However, relying on the results of a Lie Detector test taken by a woman Under the stress of not knowing where her missing child is, IMO, is not a smart thing to do.

I won't make a decision yet as to whether or not I think one or both of the parents are guilty. I only pray they are not and that the child is alive and well.

An Associated Press story printed in the Huffington Post on OCt. 10 said;

"Decades of statistics on infant abductions in the U.S. suggest one of the least likely scenarios in this week's disappearance of a Kansas City baby is that a stranger broke into her home and quietly snatched her from her crib."

"But the numbers also lead national experts to believe that if 10-month-old Lisa Irwin were taken by an intruder in the middle of the night, as her parents told investigators, she is likely still alive."

If the police do not have enough evidence to arrest one of the parents, then the possibility remains that the baby was abducted and is still alive.

So, ....Why No Amber Alert?!

      the father was at work..they suspect the mother. She could have been a colicky baby.... She is very red in many of her pics. Not to say that this she is. But colicky babies require alot more. Fatigue brings on irritability and sometimes anger. I have not seen one pick where this baby has one of those big jolly smiles..babies that are good eaters without any digestive problems sleep better and respond better... Much easier personalities..I had a colicky baby...my first..she always wanted to be held.. seemed like she never slept well... she was alot of work..my second..could eat chilli by the time he was a year.. feed him, burp him, change him, and put him to bed.. could not be any easier...just a hypothetical...
