I decided to look up Newsvine on Wikipedia, (for no particular reason) and this is what I found; (My emphisis)
Newsvine is a liberal, community-powered, collaborative journalism news website, acquired by msnbc.com, which draws content from its users and syndicated content from mainstream sources such as The Associated Press. Users can write articles, seed links to external content, and discuss news items submitted by both users and professional journalists. However, posts that do not conform to the liberal ideology of the site will be deleted. Users that create posts of a conservative nature will most often have their posts censored by Newsvine, if not deleted all together. Newsvine, the company, is not a news bureau but, exercises editorial voice by removing all posts and articles that are deemed to be non-liberal in nature.
Newsvine was named the Top News Site of 2006 and one of the 50 Best Websites of 2007 by Time magazine.[2]
(?!) WTF is that all about??!!
I don't know how to post corrections or comments on Wikipedia ...... but someone needs to enlighten someone!
There is no question that this forum leans somewhat to the Left, but .... "....posts that do not conform to the liberal ideology of the site will be deleted. and ".....exercises editorial voice by removing all posts and articles that are deemed to be non-liberal in nature.??!!
It's true that comments and artilces posted by our Right Wing friends sometimes (unjustifiably), are "Collapsed by the Community", but comments from the Left are someimes collapsed by the opposition as well.
Isn't there someway we can fix this?
