Authorities say an ATF K-9 was killed in a shootout in Greenville County Tuesday.

Agents say K-9 Nash was working an operation with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on Old Whitehorse Road at Highway 25 in Berea when he was shot and killed. No other injuries were reported.

The 7-year-old Belgian Malinois served with the A.T.F for five years and was assigned to Special Response Team 5.
